Camapign Updates
Update #1 - January 14, 2008
This is our first campaign update, and you'll be receiving many more of these between now and November 4th. (Unless you choose to unsubscribe, which you can do at the bottom of this email.)
I want to let you know about a few items related to the campaign:
- Our candidacy announcement events in Windber, Johnstown, and Ebensburg went quite well, and we had plenty of media coverage. To see some of the coverage, go to our online News Room's media coverage section at http://chrisvoccio.com/news-room.php.
- Volunteers continue to sign up on our Website, and we have volunteer recruiters throughout Cambria and Somerset counties. If you know someone who may be interested in joining the cause, have them call me at 814-254-4910 or they can email me at chris@chrisvoccio.com.
- Our campaign team is coming together with the appointments of Vickie Long as Co-Chair and Jay Follensbee as Treasurer.
Vickie is a life-long resident of Cambria County. She lives in Cambria Township with her husband and three children. She is the business manager of Graystone Court-Ebensburg and is active as a community volunteer.
Jay lives in Upper Yoder Township with his wife and son. He volunteers as president of the Community Action Partnership and is a member of the Greater Johnstown Water Authority. He was a vice president of US BANCORP and is an active member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
We are assembling our campaign leadership team and if you would like to join the cause call Chris at 814-254-4910.
- We are gearing up for the January 22nd - February 12th ballot access petition process. If you would like to help get signatures for our petitions, please call Chris at 814-254-4910.
- Our committee should be formally registered with the state by Tuesday, January 15th, and we will be able to accept donations then. Visit our Website and donate online. Every dollar helps our campaign advertise, purchase signs and supplies, and send out mailers. Thanks in advance for any amount you can donate.
- If you know of someone who may be interested in joining our cause, you can forward this email by clicking on the Forward Email link at the bottom of the page.
- Check out my blog at http://chrisvoccio.com/blog where you'll find campaign briefs, policy discussions, and random observations.
Thanks for your support!
Sincerely,
