“What are you running for?” 3/15/2008
A supporter of mine noticed that my logo simply reads Chris Voccio for Pennsylvania, and suggested I explain, in my advertising, which office, and which district, I’m seeking.
She may have a point. But my thinking, and the reason the logo simply reads “Chris Voccio for Pennsylvania”, is that so many people do not know which district they live in. Others aren’t really sure who their current State Rep is. This is largely because we have so many state legislators and the districts are carved up in such a convoluted manner.
So instead of trying to explain to people which office and which district I’m campaigning for, I’m instead trying to persuade people to support my candidacy. If they end up living in a different district, their support could help in some other way.
As I said when I announced my candidacy, the stakes in this election extend far beyond the boundaries of the 72nd district. This election will impact the entire region, indeed the entire commonwealth.
