I was walking the streets of Lower Yoder Township yesterday, asking qualified electors to sign my nomination petition.

It was cold and damp, and I wasn’t dressed for it. While most of the doors I knocked on went unanswered, there were a few welcoming faces that signed my petition, a few others inviting me into their warm homes.

One women, who I’ll call “Aud”, had been a singer until a medical setback ended her career, at least on a professional level. She did give me a theatrical little show, also making playful jabs at me throughout her performance.

The weather is expected to be milder this week, and I’ll be out on the streets again. I already have Aud’s signature, but I may stop back by for another show.
